   An ode to Laura Skywalker

   There’s something about you, the consistency perhaps, you the ever steady north star in an increasingly chaotic landscape. Whatever it is I can’t ignore it. It compels me, allures me, attracts me. Some would say that you are self serving, a vapid agent of materialist greed, but I know there’s more.  In my beholden eye you provide me with a much richer experience. It’s really the poor grammar in our communiques that completes the experience, mere fragments really. I had thought you peaked at “I help you to stop smoking “, a bold dismissal of subject verb agreement. But then you went ahead and followed up with “I know what are to do to improve your health”. What will tomorrow bring? And then there’s your name, Laura Skywalker, a feminization of nerd royalty, hedonism wrapped in the barest semblance of reality. And though I would never click on your surely virus/spam/porn filled links I can’t bring myself to delete them.  So let’s continue this torid, spam tryst. I won’t report you to gmail, or block your address if you avoid sending me viruses. We’ll maintain the delicate balance and maintain this relationship as is, until your undoubtedly foreign phishing scheme comes crashing down. Until then Je t’aime.
